Mt. Si Hike.

At 9 am, we started our trott to the top of the mountain. And it didn’t take long before the beautiful scenery started setting in. The trees were lush, and mountains of salmon berry bushes littered the sides of the trails. The early morning sun was starting to cast shadows on the trail and honestly, it looked pretty cool. As we made our way up to the top, the trees started to thin and grow shorter, allowing for better views of the nearby mountains around us, and the sun was getting higher in the sky. Once we reached the top, we had our lunches, and admired the massive rock, known as the haystack that stood above us. We were a little too timid to climb up the entire thing, but we did make it a good amount of the way before we
turned around. The view from it however was incredible, and we could see all of the surrounding mountains, few however with any sort of snow cap. Then we started our descent. On our way down, we played many fun games, and enjoyed absorbing all the nature around us. We took a detour to go see the Mount Teneriffe falls that still had a good amount of water coming from them. It was gorgeous, and you could see the entirety of the waterfall, probably about 200 ft tall. After that however, all of us were ready to call it a day, so we headed back to the car. All in all, the hike was 11 1⁄2 miles, and 4000 ft of elevation

gain.
