Mt Rainier Winter Camping 2026

If there is one thing that I learned that day, it's that snow camping is the best camping. As many skiers would call it, it was a perfect bluebird day, and the snow was perfect for building snow caves and anything that we wanted. Hiking there in our snowshoes was so much fun, and then getting to hike up an additional 1000 ft to Panorama point, in which you could see Mt. Adams, Mt. Hood, and then have the opportunity to slide all the way down on our bums. In the end, we were able to successfully build not only our tents, but also a igloo that one of us slept in, a windshield for a tent, a failed igloo, a cooking table, and a snow tunnel that was at least 10 ft long, that some of us went through
